The happybag service

happybag connects users with businesses that list surprise bags containing leftover food products available for pickup during a defined time window.

Surprise bags

Bag contents may vary based on the business’s actual surplus. Allergen, ingredient and special condition information should be checked directly with the business at pickup.

Reservation and payment

In the current model, the user reserves and pays in the app. At the shop, the user shows the pickup code. A bag that is not collected during the stated window may become unavailable.

Business responsibility

Businesses are responsible for food safety, offer descriptions, availability, prices and compliance with applicable laws.
